Email Video Attachment Limits
- Gmail: 25MB per message
- Outlook: 20MB per message
- Yahoo Mail: 25MB per message
- iCloud Mail: 20MB per message
Note: even if your email allows 25MB, the recipient's server may have a lower limit. Aim for under 20MB to be safe.
Strategy: Compress Before Sending
The fastest way is to use an online video compressor. For a 1-minute 1080p video that's 100MB, a good compressor can bring it down to 10-15MB with minimal visible quality loss.
How to Compress Video Under 25MB
- Open Video Compressor.
- Upload your video.
- Set the target to 20MB or less.
- Select 720p resolution if the original is 4K or 1080p — this alone can cut file size by 60-75%.
- Download and attach to your email.
Alternative: Share via Link
For videos over 2-3 minutes, compression to under 25MB may reduce quality too much. Instead, upload to Google Drive or Dropbox and share the link via email. This is actually the preferred method for professional video sharing.
